RESILIENCE DAY_ FR-Alert tested during flood exercise
As part of National Resilience Day, the HYDROS 25 exercise is taking place this week across Paris and five surrounding departments to simulate a major Seine flood. The large-scale operation is testing interagency coordination, emergency procedures, and public alerting capabilities. FR-Alert, France’s national population alert system powered by Intersec, is being used in real conditions to notify residents—ensuring it remains a reliable tool to protect people in times of crisis. → Learn more (in French)
CASE STUDY_ SI-ALERT: Cell Broadcast alerts in Slovenia
We worked with Telekom Slovenije to implement SI-ALARM, Slovenia’s national public warning system powered by Cell Broadcast technology. Designed for a wide range of emergencies (from floods, fires, and earthquakes to terrorist threats, missing persons, and industrial accidents), SI-ALERT ensures timely and reliable communication with the public.
Cloud is no longer optional, even for telecom operators. That’s why we made the shift from DevOps to CloudOps early, giving our customers scalability, security, and efficiency without legacy constraints. In this interview, Clément, Head of Platform Operations, and Matthieu, Cloud Product and Solutions Strategist, share how this evolution happened at Intersec.
We were pleased to welcome GSMA and TDS Group to our Paris office to share the journey of FR-Alert, from launch to upcoming upgrades. France’s model, with 21 operators, the Ministry of the Interior, and all prefectures working together with a multichannel strategy, offers concrete best practices for governments and MNOs joining the EW4All initiative.
